This one is a good reminder that a roof can look totally fine from the street and still have a serious problem. That was exactly the situation for this homeowner in Sun Meadow, Friendswood. The chimney top was completely gone - wide open to every rainstorm - and the water intrusion had already started working its way in without any obvious signs from the ground.

We walked the homeowners through the entire insurance process from start to finish. That means documentation, working with the adjuster, and making sure nothing got left on the table. A lot of homeowners don't realize how much of this we can help with, and it makes a real difference in what gets covered and what you end up with at the end.

Once the claim was approved, we didn't just put back what was there. We upgraded them to a Class 4 impact-resistant shingle system. Class 4 is the highest impact rating available for residential roofing, and in the Houston area where hail and severe weather are a regular reality, it's one of the smartest upgrades a homeowner can make. Many insurance carriers also offer premium discounts for Class 4 roofs, so the upgrade can pay for itself over time.

On top of the full shingle roof installation, we fabricated and installed a custom welded chimney top. The old opening was unprotected - the new cap is solid, fitted, and built to keep water out for the long haul. It's not a patch or a temporary fix. It's done right.

This is the kind of job we do well - not just the roofing itself, but the whole process. From spotting damage that isn't obvious, to guiding homeowners through insurance, to finishing the job with upgrades that actually improve the home's protection. That's what residential roofing services should look like.
